A backyard mechanic that’s trusted in my old area put a new engine in my VE. It was then stored at my brothers house for a week before I got to road test it. It will start but the engine knocks really loud. The guy that did the work claims my brother looked at it saying the new engine has been blown up, says my brother must have driven it aggressively. It’s possible my brother is a fuckwit. But my brother swears he never drove the car and the mechanic is trying to fuck me over. I need to figure out firstly is the 2nd engine fucked. And if possible what is wrong with it and possibly what could have caused it. Can you help?? The car is stuck in Leichhardt at a friends house now.
