We need some assistance with removing old degraded silicone and applying new silicone in our shower. This would include around the base, between the shower screen and in the corners of the walls. We do not need new grout, this is the silicon component only. We’d also like some general advice about the shower base, to make sure it’s all okay. We purchased the house and shower like this. Happy to treat with bleach first or whatever is recommended.

The existing silicone around the square stainless-steel drain fitting is deteriorated and needs replacing. Scope of work: 1. Carefully remove the existing deteriorated silicone around the square drain fitting. 2. Clean and prepare the surfaces, removing old silicone residue. 3. Inspect the surrounding joints for any obvious deterioration or movement. 4. Apply high-quality, waterproof, mould-resistant sanitary silicone suitable for stainless steel and tiles. 5. Use charcoal/dark grey silicone to match the surrounding grout. 6. Ensure a neat, professional finish with clean, straight edges. Important considerations: - The shower floor has large-format charcoal tiles. - Care is required when removing old silicone to avoid damaging the tiles, drain fitting or underlying waterproofing. - There is some existing white filler/sealant around the circular grate. Please inspect this and advise whether it requires attention. - The job is for surface resealing, not replacement of the drain or waterproofing membrane. - Please advise if you identify any potential waterproofing concerns before proceeding. Reseal shower base as old looks bit mouldy

The shower silicone needs replacing. I removed two sides already but havent removed side 3, side 4 doesnt have silicone. The bottom 2 sides have not been removed yet. This task involves removing the silicone properly, and replacing it. I have materials already provided. Before 15th October or after 24th October.

Seeking someone that is good at using a silicon gun to seal our old shower as a lot of the old silicon has come off. Recently had a building inspector advise we need to silicone at to stop moisture coming out so needs to be done thoroughly and professionally.

Removed old silicone from our shower base due to mould. Have tried to remove the old silicone as best I can, but now need someone to re-silicone both the shower base/frame and tiles where the old silicone was.

Scope of Work: Site Preparation & Protection: Lay floor protection throughout the bathroom area. Set up dust containment and exhaust extraction while removing grout. Disassemble existing shower screen and safely store onsite. Stripping & Deep Cleaning: Completely remove all existing silicone from joints, perimeter, and recess. After someone to re-silicone the joints in my fully tiled shower. The old silicone has gone mouldy and stained and needs replacing properly. Scope: - Cut out and remove all old silicone: the vertical wall corners, the wall-to-floor join, and the glass screen base (both inside and outside, the outer join has mould too) - For the vertical corners, full height is likely overkill, so if cutting out just the affected sections is enough, that's fine - Once the old silicone's out, treat the exposed joints (bleach or mould remover is fine), then rinse - Degrease the joints with methylated spirits so the new silicone bonds cleanly - Let everything dry fully before resealing (fine to leave it overnight between strip and reseal) - Apply new mould-resistant silicone with a neat finish Details: - Fully tiled shower (ceramic floor and walls, glass screen), base roughly 90cm x 175cm - Must use premium anti-mould silicone such as Maxisil, Mapei, Soudal etc. - Photos attached
