AV Technician needed for premium corporate event (6 August, Sydney CBD) Looking for an experienced AV/sound technician for a high-profile women in tech and AI event at Castlereagh Boutique Hotel, Sydney. What you'll be doing: Pre-event mic setup and sound testing, managing wireless microphone distribution across 24 speakers throughout the night, troubleshooting any audio issues in real time, and coordinating with our live singer at the opening. Event runs approx. 6pm to 10pm. Setup from 4pm required. Must have: experience with wireless mic systems (Shure/Sennheiser preferred), live event experience, calm under pressure. We’re looking for a fun, confident and outgoing person to help film short-form social media content featuring CapyCool products. THE ROLE You’ll work independently at busy Sydney locations such as Bondi, the CBD, parks and beaches. Your job will be to approach people, introduce one of our products and film their genuine reactions using an iPhone or smartphone. You’ll then send the raw footage to our marketing team. Editing is not required, but please let us know if you also offer it. EXAMPLE We may provide you with our viral electric hand warmers and ask you to approach people on a morning walk in Bondi. You might say: “Have you heard of electric hand warmers? Would you like to try one?” You would film their reaction, ask a few quick questions and capture a short demonstration. Some participants may receive the product as a thank-you. We’ll provide the products, talking points and any items available for gifting. WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR You should be confident speaking with strangers, friendly, energetic, reliable and able to make people feel comfortable on camera. Experience with TikTok, Reels, UGC, street interviews, presenting, promotions or sales would be helpful, but personality and confidence matter most. You’ll need to be based in Sydney, able to travel to agreed locations and comfortable working independently. This could become regular, ongoing work. We’ll begin with winter products such as hand warmers, then move into our summer fan range.
