Looking for an experienced handyman or cabinetmaker to assemble and install a new IKEA PAX wardrobe in our son’s bedroom, including a custom base and kickboard to give it a semi built-in appearance. Wardrobe details: * IKEA PAX wardrobe system * Dimensions: 200cm W x 60cm D x 236cm H * Includes internal drawers, shelving and hanging rails * All IKEA components have been purchased Scope of work: * Assemble and install the IKEA PAX wardrobe, including all internal fittings * Construct a sturdy, level timber base to elevate the wardrobe off the floor * Install a white kickboard/plinth across the front to conceal the base and create a built-in appearance * Secure the wardrobe safely to the wall * Ensure doors and drawers are correctly aligned and operating smoothly Desired finish: We’ve had a similar IKEA PAX system installed in our daughter’s bedroom, with a custom base and kickboard to give it a semi built-in appearance. I’ve attached photos of that installation as a reference. We’d like to achieve the same finish in our son’s room. The existing white freestanding cupboard shown in the photos will be removed before installation. Additional details: * Location: Preston, VIC * Please advise whether you can supply the timber, kickboard and any additional materials required * Looking for someone with experience installing IKEA PAX systems and completing basic cabinetry work Happy to discuss the installation and any additional details before proceeding.
