We have a walk-in robe that we have always intended to have built-ins for but it’s been nearly 5 years now haha - it’s very well overdue. We have two walls, one which will comfortably fit 2x100mm Pax and 1x50mm Pax, and the other wall will fit 1x100mm and 1x50mm - though the shorter side will need to be the shallow Pax as there is a return wall that is only 500mm deep and won’t fit the full depth cabinet. I can put together the cabinets (long time Ikea fan), though we will need to work out a strategy collectively on the best option. Option 1 is to go with the tall Pax units to maximize space - however - it would likely require removing the moulding in the corners and might actually be a challenge (space-wise) to have assembled them prior to installation as there would be limited space in the room. Option 2 is the shorter ones which provide more maneuverability but less storage space. We want to have the fitting out around the top, skirting, any space fill between or at the ends of the units and the wall, as well as any finishing (caulking/painting). I have photos, floor plan of the house and the ikea design screenshots to share to help assess the option + effort and cost. We will need to work out whether tall or standard is best (if standard we may just opt for space on top and not have to worry about moulding), and if pre-assembly has any benefit to managing cost. It will just be the shells as we haven’t fully worked out the internal accessories or doors. Would appreciate your efforts in quoting for this!
