The washing machine is making a weird noise and cutting out before a cycle completes

6 year old fridge potentially needs a new thermostat… Backstory: - 6 months ago, it kept getting sheets of ice at the bottom of the freezer part, then it would melt and leak or we’d remove it. Since then, been trying to keep the door as securely closed as possible and no more ice. - in the last few weeks, the fridge is still leaking - it’s collecting water at the bottom of the fridge under the fruit drawer (photo of drawer) - It also clicks and whines a lot throughout the night, but it’s still kicking on - just not sure for how much longer.
