Request for ducting solution Installation Please provide and install a ducting solution for our existing rangehood, which currently vents back into the kitchen. We would like the fumes to be directed outside. Please see the photo for more information, but I view the steps as follows: 1. Connect a pipe from the existing rangehood to the external wall. 4Aug24 update: in case it isn't clear from the photo, to get a straight line from the range hood you probably have to drill a hole in the upright panel of the rangehood. 2. Pass the pipe through the external wall 3. Install wall vent Notes: 1. The pipe will be visible, so it should ideally be rigid (semi-rigid at worst), rust proof, and as thin as possible (e.g. 125mm). 2. The wall is 30-40cm thick and is a heavy, structural wall 3. We live near the sea, so the vent will be exposed to wind and salt. It should not rattle in the wind or rust. The vent will be approx. 4.4m above the ground outside. Ideally, you will select and supply the materials. However, feel free to quote the installation separately, and we can organise the materials independently.
