We are seeking a plant expert (botanist, agronomist, horticulturist, or someone with strong plant knowledge) to help us identify, catalogue, and sell our mother’s plant collection. The collection includes a wide variety of plants, and we want each one correctly identified, photographed, and listed for sale online. Ideally, the right person can also help manage enquiries and sales, either per item or on a commission basis. Duties Will Include Plant identification: correctly naming and categorising each plant Documentation: creating a simple list with descriptions, photos, and care notes Online listings: uploading plants for sale on suitable platforms (e.g., Marketplace, Gumtree, plant forums, or specialised groups) Sales support: assisting with pricing, enquiries, and selling plants on a per-item or commission basis What We’re Looking For ✔ Strong knowledge of plants (botany, agronomy, or horticulture background preferred) ✔ Ability to identify species accurately and describe them simply for buyers ✔ Organised, detail-oriented, and able to catalogue a large collection efficiently ✔ Experience with online selling or willingness to manage listings ✔ Honest, reliable, and easy to communicate with Location 📍 Bankstown, NSW (some work may be done remotely, but initial plant identification and cataloguing must be done on-site) Engagement & Pay Hourly rate or commission basis (negotiable depending on skills and arrangement) Flexible work schedule — can be completed across several visits Start date: As soon as possible How to Apply If you’re passionate about plants and have experience in botany, agronomy, or horticulture, we’d love to hear from you.
