Experienced Seamstress Required – Bulk Clothing Alterations (Approx. 50 Garments) I’m looking for an experienced and meticulous seamstress or tailor to alter approximately 50 women’s work garments, including jackets, skirts, coats and standard midi dresses. The majority of the alterations are straightforward and involve: * Taking garments in at the back or side seams to achieve a better fit. * Shortening hems on some skirts, dresses and coats. Ideally, I’m looking for someone who can: * Visit my home to take my measurements and assess the garments. * Take the garments away for alteration and return them once completed. Alternatively, I’m happy to drop off and collect the garments if that is more convenient. As there is a large quantity of clothing, I would prefer to negotiate one overall price for the entire project, rather than paying per garment. Of course, I’m happy to discuss any additional cost if a particular item requires a more complex alteration than anticipated. I’m located in the Sydney CBD (The Rocks). Please let me know: * Your experience with women’s tailoring and garment alterations. * Whether you offer home visits. * An estimated turnaround time. * Whether you’re able to quote a package price for the full job. Quality workmanship is more important to me than speed, and I’m hoping to establish an ongoing relationship with someone I can use for future alterations as well. I look forward to hearing from you!

Experienced Seamstress / Sample Machinist Wanted I'm looking for an experienced seamstress or sample machinist in Melbourne (preferably in the northern suburbs near Bundoora) to help create a high-quality prototype for a textile product. You must be confident sewing zips, have space to work with large pieces of fabric and have excellent attention to detail. This is NOT a clothing alteration job. I will supply all fabric and materials (fabric will not be pre-washed). My outdoor sofa needs new cushion covers made as the existing ones are all ripped. There are six cushions total (three seat cushions and three back ones). I can provide you with the existing covers so that you can use them as size prototypes. (I'm in Melbourne CBD). If preferred, I can source the fabric myself too.
