I’m looking for an experienced seamstress, dressmaker or someone specialising in custom soft furnishings to create a beautiful, handmade children’s canopy for my daughter’s bedroom. I have a detailed inspiration image showing exactly what I’m hoping to achieve please see image. The design is a traditional ceiling-hung canopy with a pointed/conical top, a circular hoop and beautiful, soft, flowing fabric underneath. The main features I’m after are: * Colour: Soft, muted dusty teal blue. * Fabric: High-quality, lightweight cotton or linen with a beautiful, natural drape. * Shape: Traditional conical canopy with a ceiling hanging loop. * Hoop diameter: Approximately 50–55 cm. * Decorative band: A smooth, structured fabric band approximately 12–15 cm wide, positioned around the circumference where the pointed top meets the flowing fabric. * Gathering: Soft, evenly gathered fabric above and below the band, creating a full, elegant drape. The most important detail is the structured band. I’d love it to have a neat, professional finish that holds its shape beautifully, while the surrounding fabric remains soft and flowing. I’m planning to hand-embroider decorative seashells onto the band myself so I DO NOT expect you to do this, no embroidery or embellishments are required. My image I provided you is just showing you what I intend to do and what the end result will look like but it’s important for you to know what I want to do to it so perhaps it may change things from your end on how you construct the band. I’m happy to discuss fabric sourcing and whether materials should be supplied by me or include them in your quote. Ideally, I’m looking for someone in Sydney who has experience with custom sewing projects and can help bring this design to life. Please let me know if this is something you could make, your experience with similar projects and an approximate quote. Thank you so much! 😊

I need a dressmaker or seamstress to make 2 pairs of women's long pants so they fit my body. I am tired of buying clothes that never fit properly and I end up giving them away and waisting money. I would need to be fitted for these and I don't know if I buy a pattern or how the dressmaker decides they want to do it. I would like someone in the Wollongong area not from interstate. If I am happy with the results I am happy to pay for more items to be made. Thankyou

SEAMSTRESS WANTED – 15 SKIRTS FOR EMERGING FASHION LABEL I’m looking for an experienced seamstress or machinist to produce a small batch of 15 skirts for my Sydney-based fashion label. I’m looking for someone who can offer an affordable per-piece rate, with the potential for ongoing work if the first batch goes well. What I need: * Production of 15 skirts. * I can supply the fabric. * Ideally, you can work from an existing pattern or sample. * Neat, professional finishing suitable for retail sale. * Experience working with woven fabrics is preferred. I’m looking to keep production costs as low as possible while maintaining a beautiful finish. Please get in touch with your experience, examples of previous work and your estimated price per skirt. I’d love to find someone reliable to work with on future collections, too! Thank you!

I would like a swimsuit or leotard made. Measurements can be provided (bust, waist, hip). Would like fabric and design as close to the first image as possible. The second image is a better representation of the fabric. This is for a costume only. I live at Manly in Brisbane.

Looking for a seamstress that has had experience with formal wear with sequins. I want to make this dress shorter and remove the cap sleeves with maybe a couple of other fitting alterations as well (open to advice) I am happy to help with sequin removal if the cut lines are marked. Flexible on dates (need it by the end of November) but I don't have a fortune to work. Also will be able to transport it within the inner suburbs of the CBD and the south east depending on where. Budget just a guide - happy to discuss
