Title: Hi-Vis Construction Workwear Alterations – 6 Shirts + Optional Embroidery Hi! I’m looking for an experienced seamstress or tailor to alter approximately 6 hi-vis construction work shirts. The shirts are currently quite loose and long, and I’d love a slimmer, more flattering fit while keeping them comfortable and practical for everyday construction work. Alterations required: * Take in the sides for a slimmer, more fitted shape. * Shorten the overall length of the shirts. * Work around the reflective strips without compromising the safety or compliance of the garments. * Ideally offer a fitting or take measurements beforehand. * Ensure alterations are neat, durable and professionally finished. Optional bonus: I’d also love to have my first name embroidered onto a few of my work jumpers if this is a service you offer. I’m located in Chelsea, VIC, and happy to arrange drop-off or collection. Please let me know your experience with hi-vis workwear and your approximate pricing for all 6 shirts. Thanks!

I’m looking for an experienced tailor/seamstress to alter 2 pairs of trousers. (This is a repost as I forgot about the task and it expired) Work required: • Take up/shorten both pairs to the appropriate length • Potentially taper the legs as well, depending on the additional cost I’ve received quotes from Brisbane alteration shops of around $25–$35 per pair for the hemming, so I’m hoping to find someone who can offer a competitive price through Airtasker. Happy to drop the trousers off/pick them up, depending on location. Please include your price in your description, for: 1. Hemming both pairs 2. Hemming + tapering both pairs Thanks!

I’m looking for an experienced seamstress, dressmaker or someone specialising in custom soft furnishings to create a beautiful, handmade children’s canopy for my daughter’s bedroom. I have a detailed inspiration image showing exactly what I’m hoping to achieve please see image. The design is a traditional ceiling-hung canopy with a pointed/conical top, a circular hoop and beautiful, soft, flowing fabric underneath. The main features I’m after are: * Colour: Soft, muted dusty teal blue. * Fabric: High-quality, lightweight cotton or linen with a beautiful, natural drape. * Shape: Traditional conical canopy with a ceiling hanging loop. * Hoop diameter: Approximately 50–55 cm. * Decorative band: A smooth, structured fabric band approximately 12–15 cm wide, positioned around the circumference where the pointed top meets the flowing fabric. * Gathering: Soft, evenly gathered fabric above and below the band, creating a full, elegant drape. The most important detail is the structured band. I’d love it to have a neat, professional finish that holds its shape beautifully, while the surrounding fabric remains soft and flowing. I’m planning to hand-embroider decorative seashells onto the band myself so I DO NOT expect you to do this, no embroidery or embellishments are required. My image I provided you is just showing you what I intend to do and what the end result will look like but it’s important for you to know what I want to do to it so perhaps it may change things from your end on how you construct the band. I’m happy to discuss fabric sourcing and whether materials should be supplied by me or include them in your quote. Ideally, I’m looking for someone in Sydney who has experience with custom sewing projects and can help bring this design to life. Please let me know if this is something you could make, your experience with similar projects and an approximate quote. Thank you so much! 😊

Alter Christmas elf costume – take in and shorten skirt I’m looking for an experienced seamstress or tailor to alter my Christmas elf costume, which is currently too big. I’d like it adjusted to fit me properly and look similar to the attached reference photo: * Take in the green top for a closer fit around the torso and sleeves. * Adjust the red pinafore waist and straps as needed. * Shorten the skirt and give it a fuller, fluffier shape, potentially with tulle or a petticoat. * Preserve the embroidery, yellow trim and original costume details. I’ll provide photos showing the current fit and the look I’m aiming for. An in-person fitting would be ideal. I’m based in Bronte, Sydney, and can arrange drop-off nearby. Please quote for the alterations and let me know your availability, turnaround time and whether additional materials are included.

I need a dressmaker or seamstress to make 2 pairs of women's long pants so they fit my body. I am tired of buying clothes that never fit properly and I end up giving them away and waisting money. I would need to be fitted for these and I don't know if I buy a pattern or how the dressmaker decides they want to do it. I would like someone in the Wollongong area not from interstate. If I am happy with the results I am happy to pay for more items to be made. Thankyou
