Hi there, I am starting a small-scale online fashion brand in Sydney and am looking for an experienced freelance pattern maker who can also handle sample machining (cut & sew) from a home studio or small workshop. I am launching with a single "Hero Product": a two-piece set consisting of an oversized raglan-sleeve blouse (with a collar and hidden placket) and a wide-leg palazzo trouser (with an elastic back / flat-front hybrid waistband). The Material: High-quality Smooth Cotton Poplin. What I need: 1. A first pattern creation based on a technical flat sketch and reference images. 2. A first fit-sample/toile to test the volume and fit. 3. Production of a small initial batch of 5 complete sets (all in cotton poplin). Requirements: • Must be located in or around the Sydney area. • Experience with pattern drafting, sizing/grading, and professional garment construction (overlock finishing). • Friendly to startups/small orders. If this sounds like you, please send me a message with a rough estimate for the pattern + first sample, or your hourly rate. I’d love to see some examples of your previous work! Thank you so much!

I'm looking for someone experienced in sewing to help me make 6 placemats and 6 coasters. I want help both in construction and sewing. 1. Construction - I will provide 3 layers: printed fabric (front), stabiliser (middle) and matching fabric (back). - I need someone to put these 3 layers together and sew them into finished placemats and coasters. 2. Decorative Edge Stitching - I want a machine-sewn blanket stitch around the entire edge of each placemat and coaster. Similar to the image attached. - The stitching should be thick, visible and coral-coloured. 3. Sewing Machine & Thread - Please tell me what sewing machine you have (brand and model). - I will buy the coral decorative thread, but I need to know which thread thickness your machine can handle. Please let me know: - Can you do both the construction and decorative stitching? - What sewing machine do you use?

Hi there! We are looking for someone to create 50 custom handbag-shaped embroidered appliqués for an upcoming luxury fashion event. We have attached a reference image showing the exact look and finish we would love to achieve. Design & Finish: A miniature, cartoon-style recreation of the Kurt Geiger Kensington handbag. Embroidered fabric appliqué with a textured, high-quality finish. Pink fabric with sparkly detailing, using metallic thread, sequins, rhinestones or similar embellishments. Embroidered outline and detailing to clearly resemble the handbag. Soft, flexible backing suitable for sewing onto cotton/linen napkins. Not printed patches, transfers or flat printed designs. Quantity: 50 identical pieces Size: Approximately 5–7 cm wide (open to recommendations). Application: The finished appliqués will be sewn onto white cotton napkins, as pictured. We have our own supplier to handle the sewing, so only require the appliqués themselves. If you would prefer to sew directly onto the napkins, please let us know. Timing: Required ahead of our event on 27 October, ideally 21st October if no napkins. We are open to a combination of machine embroidery and hand-applied embellishments to achieve the desired finish. Please reach out if you have experience in custom appliqué, embroidery, costume embellishment or decorative patch-making. We would love to see examples of similar work, along with your quote and estimated turnaround time. Thank you!

I'm looking for someone who can create a custom fabric pouch based on a design and dimensions I'll provide. The pouch needs to be professionally sewn, with the ability to print custom artwork directly onto the fabric. Ideally, I'm looking for someone who has experience in sewing, fabric printing and creating custom product prototypes. This is initially for a sample/prototype, with potential for more work if successful. Please reach out if you have experience with this type of work, along with examples of previous projects.
