The outer oven door glass/panel has broken off, but the oven itself still turns on, heats up and works normally. I’m looking for a licensed electrician who can disconnect hardwired appliances and replace ceiling fans / lights ahead of stripout and painting. I am renovating my kitchen/house and need the following work completed: 1. Safely disconnect and isolate the power to an existing built-in electric oven/cooktop so it can be removed. The appliance is hardwired (not plugged into a power point). 2. Replace 4 × ceiling fans and 5 x ceiling lights with temporary fixtures (all will be replaced later with new lights/fans, current ones need to removed for painting). This is the first stage of the renovation. After the kitchen and laundry strip out is complete, I will also need a licensed electrician to return to connect the new oven and other electrical work, so there will be additional work available. The Job: Disconnect and remove the existing built-in wall oven (Chef Classic model pictured). Install and hardwire the new replacement oven into the existing cavity. Details: The replacement oven is already on-site and ready to go. It appears to be hardwired (there is a dedicated switchboard switch for it).

The power point inside the cupboard next to my oven is stuck in the "On" position and won't switch off. It's a non-clicking (spark-free) switch — likely fitted this way as a safety design since it's close to the gas flex hose. Scope of work: Build and install a new heat‑resistant shelf directly above the oven to create a usable cupboard space (see photos). Ensure the shelf is properly supported on both sides and at the back, and safely clear of the oven ventilation. Replace/repair the damaged vertical cabinet edges and front trims around the oven opening so it looks neat and finished. I’ve just moved into a new house and the hinges on the doors of both my LG inverter direct drive dishwasher , and my Belair oven are dodgy. The dishwasher door drops straight down to the floor and crashes down when I open it rather than staying in one place. The over door is clunky and feels crooked and wonky as I close it but it does close. Not sure what to do to fix these and am hoping there is someone clever on here who has experience with appliance door hinges ☺️
