I have an awning from Bunnings to put over my outside side door.

So my shed door was pulled off its hinges and needs to be put back on. I’m not entirely sure how it’s come off.

Two handles aren’t working properly: 1. Handle works but is loose 2. Cavity slider lock turns but doesn’t engage lock properly. Also quite stiff. Need both handles functioning properly please.

I’ve recently had a panel lift/sectional garage door retrofitted to my garage in Carindale. Because the garage wasn’t originally set up for this type of door, there weren’t suitable fixing points in the ceiling where the installer needed to attach the overhead tracks/brackets. The garage door company is coming back to rectify the installation, but before they return I’d like suitable structural fixing points installed above the ceiling. There is good access to the roof/ceiling space via a manhole, with plenty of room to work. I’m looking for an experienced carpenter/framer who can assess the existing roof/ceiling framing and install appropriate timber blocking/noggins or other suitable structural framing at the required locations, so the garage door installer has solid fixing points for their brackets. I can provide photos and indicate where the garage door brackets/fixing points need to be located. Location: Carindale, QLD Timing: Ideally completed before the garage door company returns. Please bring the appropriate timber, fixings and tools. When responding, please let me know if you have experience with roof/ceiling framing or preparing fixing points for garage doors.

Looking for a reliable handyman to knock over a few small maintenance jobs at a rental property in one visit. Photos attached. Outdoor stair handrail – loose post. The timber newel post at the bottom of the external stairs is loose. Needs to be re-secured/braced so the rail is solid and safe (coach bolts or a bracket to the stringer/post base, whatever's appropriate). Reinstall door holder. The floor-mounted plunger catch (for the plantation shutter door) has pulled out of the timber threshold and is hanging. Needs to be re-fixed properly – plug/fill the stripped holes and re-screw, or fit new fixings. Replace bathroom exhaust fan. Existing ceiling exhaust fan (approx. standard size grille) is old and needs replacing with a new like-for-like unit. If you're not a licensed electrician please let me know – we may need to arrange the electrical connection separately, or you can quote for a licensed sparky. Replace 2 x basin mixer taps. Two matte black Phoenix basin mixers have peeled/corroded and need replacing with new ones. Supply and install (happy for you to quote with materials, or I can supply the mixers – please advise). Licensed plumber preferred for tapwork. Replace skirting board. A section of skirting board in the laundry/storage area is water-damaged and swollen. Remove the damaged section, fit new skirting, fill, caulk and paint to match (white).

Bottom of wooden door keeps sticking on floor. Not sure if it needs to be planed down or if the hinges can be adjusted, but just want it to be able to be closed.

Hi, The door in the bathroom has swollen due to moisture build and is scraping the floor when opening and closing. Quote should allow for removing the door, trim the bottom so it is no longer scarping on the tiles, undercoat the cut area and rehang.

Replace framed shower door seal. Remove sliding door and refit back (it has come of the rails at the back). Maximum 2 hours work. House is vacant so can be done any time of the day... Will suit any handyman..

Our front door has shifted and won’t close properly - maybe needs rehanging or even filing so that we can close it?

Sliding Bathroom door is stuck after installing a separation strip on the floor for floorboards. The door is hanging from the top .

Front entry door — alignment + latch not catching The door has dropped/shifted and no longer aligns with the frame, so the knob latch and deadbolt don't line up with the strike plates. It isn't locking or latching properly. Realign the door (check/adjust hinges as needed) Reposition or replace strike plates so the latch and deadbolt catch cleanly Fill/patch old or oversized holes in the timber frame and re-fit hardware Test that both the knob and deadbolt lock smoothly Timber door and frame, older Queenslander-style home; existing hardware can be reused if in good condition 2. Kitchen cabinet door — broken hinge A white kitchen cabinet door has come off — the hinge has pulled out/broken and needs re-hanging.
