My son bumped into the sliding door at his friend’s home. The frame seems a bit skewed. And their parents couldn’t put it back in the track.

It looks like the wood frame of the door has deteriorated which may have caused the screws to become loose leading the latch breaking off of the frame. The photos show the door frame's wood at the bottom is breaking which is near where the latch has loosened and become unsecured. The top latch is still in place but it may break off too because there is more weight on it without the bottom latch. It is probably causing tearing on the frame.
