Our internal door to garage needs fixing, the section of frame where strike plate is, the wood frame has been cut out too much, ideally we can replace just that section of wood, please see highlighted photo, but please advise if you have a professional opinion. The door itself where lock is installed also has chipped wood, open to suggestion to fix or improve this.
