I have had a door stop in a bathroom door come off, leaving a hole. I've read that the way to fix it is with a dowel glued in. You will get the dowel then fix the hole and put the door stop back in place. Requires a dowel, drill and some sandpaper and some glue I believe but I'm no expert.
