Vehicle details: 2021 BMW 530e Hybrid A national chain inspected the vehicle and documented the following: • UV dye already present in the A/C system • Refrigerant leak identified at the A/C compressor housing • System uses R1234yf refrigerant • They recommended compressor replacement and full evac and recharge I am attaching the inspection photos and work order notes for reference. Before proceeding, I need an independent verification and a clear scope of work. Please advise on the following: 1. Based on the photos and notes, do you agree that the compressor housing is the actual leak source, or could this be an O-ring, seal, or line fitting near the compressor? 2. Will you perform your own leak test (UV, electronic sniffer, or nitrogen pressure test) before recommending replacement? 3. If replacement is required, will the job include: • New OEM or equivalent compressor • Receiver/drier or desiccant replacement (if applicable) • System flush (if required due to compressor failure) • Vacuum, leak test, and recharge with R1234yf 4. Please provide a written estimate for: • Parts (OEM vs aftermarket options, with pricing) • Labor • Refrigerant and materials 5. What warranty do you provide on parts and labor for this repair? 6.
