We had to knock out this part of the hallway kitchen entry to get a huge couch through. I need the wall repaired but will also need to get the couch out one day so thinking it would need to be turned into an archway. I included a picture of kinda what I had in mind.

Hi there! I have 2 projects, could be together or separate depending: 1. Installing shelves around a room. The thing is, my (rental) walls are tricky to work with. I’ve installed things on other walls in the apt, but I suspect these are plaster? When I’ve tried before with anchors, they just came right out. So I need someone to assess the walls and determine the right anchoring hardware/approach. 2. Installing curtains (as room divider) on a ceiling I suspect requires a masonry drill.
