Weird mess of wires in the dash, s terminal on starter receives 0 volts

I had everything hooked up and working. The signals and taillight license plate. Unhooked wires to place where I wanted Them exactly and then some of the male connectors popped off. It melted the ground wire on the 6 pin taillight main harness and then the same thing happend on the actual bike 6pin connector harness. It looks like it may be further into the bike. Very new to this but rather have someone do it that fully understands how to go about this.

For a 2008 Saturn Astra (Opel Astra H) - Mechanic was hired earlier to try to diagnose and replace battery, alternator, and starter since car would not start/run - New battery, alternator, and starter are in place- car still does not run. - Mechanic referred further service to an auto electrician: - Issues to check: i. Ignition System (might need to be replaced) ii. Daylight Sensor does not turn instrument panel/dash lights on at night iii. Not an imminent issue but needs to be fixed: My local mechanic had installed a hard wire to the battery for a mounted dashcam, but the cable is causing a major draw on the battery (better to just disconnect this) iv. Fuse box was replaced in 2022 and likely not the issue; could be rusted/faulty wiring... so you may need to track down where the issue is. v. Final verdict: If the electric issues are too complex and going to be too costly, that is also something I need to know. If it's too excessive, it may not be worth fixing given the vehicle's low value (however it is in great condition otherwise with 81,000 miles only).
