Looking for someone to install wall panelling in the entrance hall, living room, dining room, and up the stair case. Stair case has a low window so needs to panel around it. We have a victorian house with a long living room where the front and back rooms were made into one. We'd like advice on how to best set up the space, particularly as we now have a small child too. We'd like to use it as a living room for relaxing, some play space and possibly add a desk/work space. Happy to have an online consultation if that's preferred, otherwise postcode is London E17. We're keen to keep our current furniture if we can, but open to getting rid of some if needed or buying a few new pieces if they would fit better. It's a small space, but the design would need to be practical in terms of family life (space to play, easy to tidy up, room for guests to sit) as well as have some storage and not feel cluttered. We have a cat so if we can incorporate something simple for him (eg. space for a cat tree or a way to access a high shelf) that would be great.

I’ve recently broken my leg and can’t move around much, so I’m looking for one really organised, tidy, detail-oriented person (or two people working together) to help me get the house looking and feeling lovely for Christmas. We’re hosting this year, and I normally do all the decorating myself, but it’s just not possible right now. The job is a mix of light decluttering/organising and putting up Christmas decorations. Light decluttering and organising: Clearing and organising surfaces and shelves in the kitchen and living room, grouping things neatly, and generally helping the space feel calmer and more ordered. Anything we remove from shelves or surfaces should go into the boxes the Christmas decorations are currently stored in so it all stays contained. Maybe a little light pantry or cupboard tidying if needed, but no deep cleaning. Christmas decorating: Putting up one large Christmas tree and one smaller one, decorating both with the ornaments I provide, and adding some festive touches around the room (mantel, shelves, tables, etc.). The aim is just to make the house feel warm and cosy for the holidays. Time estimate: Roughly a full day (7–8 hours) for one person, or around 5–6 hours if two people come together. Budget: £400 total (please mention if you’re applying solo or as a pair). I’ll provide all decorations, storage boxes, and guidance on the overall look — I just need someone who’s organised, careful with delicate items, and has a good eye for making a space feel nice. Location: SE7 (parking available).

We have a huge fur tree/Christmas tree outside our property which we yearly decorate with bulb Christmas lights, but it’s just got too big for us to do and take down again. The cable goes down the side of our house and plugs into the socket in the garden. Maybe a cherry picker would be ideal?
