I have 2 Nest thermostat units on the first floor which don't turn on, but the units on the ground floor and top floor do. Our alarm needs changing batteries but we've no step ladder and it's in a very awkward position on the upstairs landing above the stairs and the ceiling is high. Not entirely sure what batteries needed as first time we've changed it. Would be great to get it sorted and have correct batteries refitted safely, or if it just needs a reset - for that to be done. My fire alarm keeps beeping every 20 seconds. It started doing this months ago, but I usually could hold the main button down for 15 seconds and the beeping would stop. Now, it doesn't work and beeping goes on regardless. The alarm is wired in and seems to be connected centrally to the flat building, and I have tried so many ways of opening it to change the backup battery but it looks like you need tools to do it. There's no indication of model at all so I can't find a manual for it online. Dont know if battery is low or whole alarm system has expired
