The gate is a BabyDan Multidan Metal Extending Safety Gate. It needs to be fixed at the top of our stairs. It's a slightly awkward fix as there is a petruding skirting board on one wall, and a bannister on the other which is curved and therefore isn't perfectly straight. It fixes is four positions.

There was a prior flood causing damage to the ceiling, the area has been dried and now the subsequent hole needs to be repaired
