No need. The technician you hire has all the tools and equipment ready for setting up your surround sound system in your living room or home theatre. They have all these apart from the requisite skills and years of experience in replicating a high-definition cinematic audio experience in people’s homes. But should you have any tools or equipment that you think can make their job easier, you may lend these to them.
It usually takes at least an hour to an hour and a half, up to at most the entire day to set up a surround sound system. The time it takes to do the service depends on the complexity of the system and the work involved. If your surround sound technician has to position several speakers into walls or ceilings, connect wires and all your entertainment devices to the receiver, this may take an entire afternoon.
Yes! If you install surround sound systems as a business, you can definitely hire a Tasker to assist you. You’ll find that you can employ Taskers for this and related services like furniture assembly, wall mounting and other handyman jobs. You can even find Taskers for more unusual tasks like interior designing. The trick is to make a post with all the crucial details to find the right Taskers.
There is no brand that Taskers are limited to installing; they can install almost any brand or type of surround system on the market. You can hire a Tasker to set up your Bose surround sound system, Panasonic soundbar, Samsung surround sound system or any other brand for your enjoyment. You only have to make a post with the specific details about your surround sound system to find the Tasker who can install it.
Yes. You can find a Tasker who can install a sound system in your car with the right post on Airtasker. Some may be the same Taskers that can or have installed your surround sound system in your home theatre, but you must make a separate and specific post requesting this service. This is necessary to avoid confusion and for the right Tasker to approach you with the appropriate free quote.
Yes, it’s possible but only if you have the skills, experience and tools to do this. Installing a home theatre and surround sound system can be complicated, depending on the type of system you have. We recommend you hire an expert surround sound technician on our platform instead. They can install the components, do the necessary connections and adjustments to ensure you get the expected cinematic audio experience from your surround sound system.
Surround sound installation services include all the necessary tasks to put a surround sound system in place. This service is intended to help you enjoy a cinematic audio experience in your living room, home theatre, basement or particular room built for this purpose.
An essential part of replicating theatre-like, impactful sound is good placement of the surround sound speakers. To set up the surround sound system, you specify the room or area to your hired surround sound technician.
They then help you choose the spots where the speakers can provide the best cinematic audio experience. Your hired sound technician then places the speakers and subwoofers at these spots, positioning them at angles facing the viewers of the TV screen or projector.
If your surround sound system calls for embedding speakers in the wall or ceiling, your surround sound technician can cut out the needed holes. They can use a stud finder to avoid cutting pipes or wires that are behind your walls or ceilings, then proceed to make the appropriate-sized holes with a saw.
Next, your technician can install the speakers into the holes cut for them. They connect the wires, cables or other connectors of the speakers and run these through the walls, ceiling or your attic. Your technician also connects the speakers to each other, and to the main receiver. They can also join the speakers to the subwoofer if this doesn’t link directly to the main receiver.
Once the speakers, subwoofer and receiver are set up, your technician connects your cable box, TV, DVD or other media players and gaming consoles to the receiver. Your technician follows the installation instructions of the surround sound system to integrate your entertainment devices.
Your hired technician can use the included wires, cables or other connection options. If your surround sound system lacks any AV cable, HDMI cables or other connecting media, your technician can buy these for you at a nearby store as long as the costs are covered.
After the surround sound system is set up and your TV, cable box, gaming consoles and media players are connected and powered up, your technician tests the system. They can check that all the speakers are working correctly and the entire system creates the sort of theatrical sound experience you want. Your technician can adjust the treble, bass and volume levels to your preference.
Should there be any issues with sound quality, loss of output from any of the speakers or other issues, your technician can check all the components and do the appropriate fixes. They do this until the surround sound system works as intended, and you’re pleased with the settings.

We have equipment installed / located in the basement: 4x in wall speakers, cables all connected inside walls to speakers but can send photos showing no connections at the other end. 1x monitor audio radius 200 1x marantz NR1510 amp 1x revel B8 200mm wireless subwoofer We have cables from basement that have been fed up into the hall (I assume cat6) but again they don’t terminate anywhere as no connections at the end, but builder did route the cables near to the router. I need an expert to make a visit to connect it all up (installation is effectively already done).
Job well done, thank you
