Hi! I’m looking for a skilled seamstress or fashion student to create 10 Mini Skirts using upcycled vintage ties for a designer market in Sydney. The Project: Quantity: 10 Skirts in total. Design: Vertical patchwork style using vintage ties (see reference photos). Silhouette & Volume: I want an A-line / flared fit with plenty of movement and "air" (not a pencil or tight fit). Please use the natural triangular shape of the ties to create a "circle skirt" effect. Details: Each skirt should use around 14 ties to ensure it has enough volume and doesn't sit flat against the body. Features: High-waist elastic casing. Please ensure the elastic is firm enough to hold the weight of the silk ties without rolling or sagging. Hem: "Sharkbite" / pointy hem using the natural tips of the ties. I currently have an influx of old and new stuff that I would like to rework into new items and designs. I have a sewing machine however don’t have the hours to commit. Per item made.
