What do washing machine removal services include?

Removals of your old washing machine can be quite a challenge, if only because it’s not something that’s done every day. It’s not a simple matter of throwing out the trash, after all. You may be wondering if you can sell, recycle, or donate it. You may also wonder where you can safely (and legally) dispose of it.

When you hire a Tasker to take care of washing machine removal, you get an expert who can help you navigate the entire process of getting rid of your old appliance.

Removing your washing machine

Though this may vary from Tasker to Tasker, they may be able to help you prepare for the removal process as well - making sure the tub is clean, the exterior is wiped down, and that the cords and hoses are disconnected and secured. Feel free to ask your Tasker about how to prepare before they pick up your old washing machine.

When your Tasker arrives, they’ll have the necessary equipment and transport for removing your washing machine. You won’t need to provide any tools or hire a vehicle yourself.

Transporting the washing machine

Once your old washing machine is loaded into the truck or van, the Tasker will transport it to your chosen destination. This could mean your town’s solid waste management facility, a recycling plant, or the manufacturer. Just specify your destination in the task post.

If you’re unfamiliar with where to send your broken washing machine, your Tasker may be able to share several options with you as well.

Old washing machine removals options

You can choose to either recycle or donate your old washing machine. If it’s in good working condition, you can give it to a low-income family who can still use it.

You can do this through a trusted organisation like the Salvation Army or Red Cross.

If your washing machine is no longer operational, you can have it recycled by a waste management facility. Some manufacturers and retailers may also accept old appliances, since recycling old parts are more cost-effective. Also, washing machines can be hazardous to leave in landfills, so it’s best to ask a specialist about how to remove them safely.
