Work required: * Carefully remove and dispose of the existing vanity. * Disconnect existing plumbing. * Install the new vanity and basin in the existing location. * Reconnect the existing water supply and waste plumbing. * Ensure the vanity is securely fixed to the wall and level. * Seal around the basin/vanity as required. * Check for leaks and ensure everything is working correctly. * Clean up and remove the old vanity/rubbish. Important: The new vanity will be replacing the existing unit, so no major relocation of plumbing is expected. As part of a pre-purchase building inspection shower leak was detected by inspector. His notes below; A 100% moisture reading was recorded to the substrate directly beneath the shower, with localised moisture staining visible in this area. The elevated moisture was coníned to a relatively small area, with no widespread moisture detected to the surrounding îoor structure at the time of inspection. No elevated moisture or evidence of leakage was observed around the shower waste connection. Based on the location and pattern of moisture observed, the fíndings are strongly indicative of moisture penetrating through the shower waterprooíng system. The relatively small and patchy area of moisture suggests that the waterprooíng deterioration may be in its early stages. Recommendations Further investigation of the shower waterprooíng system is recommended to conírm the extent and source of moisture penetration. Flood testing.Pre Purchase Building Given the moisture readings and staining observed beneath the shower, repairs to the shower waterprooíng system are considered highly likely to be required. Depending on the extent and location of the waterprooíng failure, this may require removal of shower ínishes to access and reinstate the aìected waterprooíng Looking for a waterproofing professional to review and repair the issue. 1. The shower head arm has a swivel/ball-joint connection that keeps disconnecting or coming loose from the wall bracket. Needs the shower arm and/or head replaced (or the connecting joint re-fitted/tightened) so it holds securely in position. 2. The curtain track above the window isn't running smoothly — the pinch-pleat curtains are dragging or catching on the rail, and the track isn't closing/gliding properly. Needs the track cleaned, glides/runners checked or replaced, or the track itself straightened/replaced so the curtains slide freely.
