I am looking for someone local to Underwood, car immobile. Remove existing air intake manifold with a supplied replacement. There is an AIC valve that needs to be fitted to the replacement manifold before installation. Gasket paper and any other consumables will be provided. I am flexible a couple of hours either side of the timeslot, it would be best early as there's no shade until mid arvo. Won't be the most glamorous car you have worked on, it's for someone that doesn't mind getting their hands dirty.

Any mechanic or auto sparky, or high inclined mechanical aptitude guy or girls out there needs to read this. Times are getting tough with the rising cost of fuel and the cost of living. I am a fully qualified diesel mechanic/fitter. It’s really upsetting and disturbing to see that people who want stuff done to there vehicles only wants to pay even way below the bare minimum. Example: a guy wants a no start issue fix and all old tints removed from his car and fitted with new. Or remove old stereo and fit new. They offer $50!!! They even want you to take the time of your day to chase the parts and deliver it to them and fit it for under $100. Replace head gasket $300. Are they joking? Take it to a shop I say!! where they will be asked to pay out anywhere $1000 to $8000 or upwards easy. Hell!!! even a concreter gets offered on Airtasker anywhere from $3000 to $5000 dollars to patch or do a small driveway. Panel beaters get offered more than us mechanics /sparky’s even car detailers get offered more. Point is, give yourself some respect. It took you years out of your life to develop the skills sets needed to help diagnose and fix there issues. And they don’t even wanna pay a third of the shops price to you. Or even make it worth your while. They talk and spread it amongst themselves that we are desperate enough to even almost do the work seem like charity. We all need to put a stop to this. Til they offer even the third of the amount.

I require a mobile mechanic to help me with my Volkswagen Amarok Ute which has a coolant leak. I’m unsure where exactly the leak is coming from but hope that it is a simple enough fix.
