Oil and Filter Assessment
Upon arriving, your mechanic will first inspect your vehicle before draining the old engine oil and replacing the filter. This process involves starting your car and warming up your motor oil. Then, they will lift your vehicle to locate the drain plug and place an oil pan underneath while draining out the old motor oil. Â
Oil and Filter Replacement
After draining out the old engine oil, your mechanic will proceed with removing the old filter using a wrench. Then, they will put a small amount of engine oil to the gasket to avoid leaks. Once they replace the oil filter with a new one, they will pour in the correct grade and amount of oil suited for your vehicle using a funnel to avoid leaks.
Final Inspection and Testing
After placing the new oil and filter, your mechanic will do a final inspection by starting the engine and letting it run it for a few minutes. This step will help ensure that the new motor oil is circulating smoothly and that there are no signs of leakage around the drain plug and filter. I have a 2006 Ford Escape in good mechanical order but unregistered that I need to get registered. Need to get the engine washed and any oil leaks found. Fixing the oil leaks is not included in this job. You can quote a separate price to fix. If I agree then that is a separate contract. If I don’t agree to your terms I will drive my car away. Also needs the windscreen wiper blades replaced (have bought the correct blades). Headlights not working properly. Either high beams or low beams not working (can’t remember which).
