We have a BMW 228i that has an oil leak. We have had it checked by BMW and quoted a price, however we would like an independent mechanic that is knowledgable on BMW's to have a look at the car as well, given the price we were told was very high (we think...). We understand it will most likely need to be taken in to a shop to be lifted up, somewhere near by would be great as we don't love driving it long distances with this leak. Our budget price is a hugely rough estimate, we don't really know the cost of this to be looked over, but would like a fair price.

Check engine light is on with OBD-II code P0743 (Torque Converter Clutch electrical circuit fault). I am looking for a quote to diagnose and repair this issue (likely testing the TCC solenoid circuit and wiring, and replacing the solenoid if faulty). Could you please provide your diagnostic fee and an estimated quote range for the repair? Thank you!

Clutch was slipping and now it isn’t engaging for some reason. I would ultimately like a mechanic to fix or put a clutch kit or adjust or bleed the clutch. If will pay for any parts.
