This requires drilling a NEW hole below the existing lock, rather than replacing the existing lock. The existing lock is to remain in place. The door is a heritage timber front door with a glass sidelight beside it. Careful positioning, accurate drilling and a neat finish are essential. Scope: * Check the door, frame and clearances to confirm a suitable installation position before drilling. * Drill and prepare the new deadbolt location according to the supplied Schlage instructions. * Fit the lock and install the strike plate in the frame. * Check that the bolt operates smoothly and the door closes and locks properly. * Preserve the existing hardware and surrounding timber, trim and glass. What’s required: Remove the old Samsung smart lock (both the exterior and interior parts). A circular hole will remain — I already have bog/putty to fill it. Patch the hole using the putty, sand it smooth, and prepare the surface so it’s flush with the door. Install the new Eufy Smart Lock C30, including: The front keypad panel The internal back plate Ensure the lock is aligned, fully functional, and the door closes properly.
