Private family in Toorak seeking an experienced, proactive and exceptionally reliable laundress for a stable, long-term position. Monday and Friday, 8:00 am–2:00 pm $35 per hour, paid weekly by bank transfer. This is a dedicated laundry, ironing, wardrobe and linen-management role—not general cleaning. You will manage the complete household laundry cycle and work carefully and autonomously without constant direction. Responsibilities: Collect, sort, wash, dry, iron, steam, fold and return household laundry. Strip and remake beds every Monday. Manage sheets, towels, doona covers and washable doonas. Use an approved laundromat for bulky items when required. Return everything to the correct wardrobes, drawers and labelled linen cupboards. Keep wardrobes, linen cupboards and laundry areas beautifully organised. Identify stains, damage, repairs and items requiring specialist treatment. Monitor supplies and use low-tox, biodegradable and low-fragrance products wherever appropriate and fabric-safe. Designer, delicate, valuable, vintage, dry-clean-only or uncertain items must never be washed without approval. This includes cashmere, silk, wool, leather, suede, velvet and structured or embellished garments. If in doubt, set it aside and ask. The ideal applicant will be meticulous, honest, discreet, punctual and highly organised, with excellent knowledge of fabrics, care labels, stain treatment and ironing. Private-household, professional-laundry, wardrobe-care or luxury-hotel experience is preferred. Requirements: Current driver’s licence and own reliable, insured vehicle. Current Police Check or willingness to obtain one. Full Australian working rights. Two recent professional references, including one recent direct employer. Verifiable work history and genuine interest in a long-term position. Please provide a résumé with employment dates, referee details and relevant experience. I’m looking for a regular ironing service (5 business shirts weekly or 1o fortnightly. Will be washed and ready to go.

Looking for a long term ironing perfectionist to iron Business Shirts/Pants. They way it works - you will usually get 20 to 30 Business Shirts every 4 to 6 weeks, cleaned and washed by me, ready for ironing on hangers. I pay $3.00 per shirt/item plus $5 pick-up & $5 drop off. I do not pay by hourly rate or by basket. Pick up on a Saturday morning and you can drop back to me at anytime during the weekend if I am home but Sunday afternoon usually works well. I'd prefer someone closer to my location. I don't need all shirts back at once and can be flexible providing I have shirts to get me through the week. I have 30 shirts ready to go this weekend (Sat July 11th).
