Works are to regrade the existing sloping garden into three approximately equal level sections. * Existing garden falls approximately 700 mm over 14.5 m, around a 5% slope. * Create three level terraces of approximately 36 m² each. * First terrace to be paved, approximately 36 m². * Owner will supply paving stones. * Contractor to supply all bedding sand, cement and other materials required for paving installation. * Remaining two terraces, approximately 72 m² total, to be prepared and laid with new turf. * Provide a level change of approximately 350 mm between each terrace. * Construct timber steps between each level using suitable treated, durable external-grade timber resistant to rot. * Existing paved pathway running along the length of the garden is to remain. * Existing pathway currently follows the garden slope and will need to be appropriately adjusted and tied into the new finished levels. * Existing paving stones along the path are to be carefully lifted where required and properly relaid. * Provide any minor retaining required adjacent to the pathway between the new levels, approximately 7 m in length and generally no more than 150 mm high. * Contractor to include excavation, levelling, preparation, compaction and removal of excess spoil/waste required to complete the works. * Finished paving, turf, steps and pathway are to transition cleanly between the three new garden levels.
