EOI – Regular Weekly House Cleaner : We’re looking around $30–$35 per hour, depending on experience and what you provide. Happy to negotiate for the right person. We’re looking for a reliable cleaner for an ongoing weekly Friday clean of the main communal areas of our home. Ideally, we’re looking for one cleaner for around 2.5–3 hours, or two cleaners for around 2 hours if that suits you better. Happy to discuss what’s realistic within the available time. Areas: * Kitchen * Lounge * Dining area * Hallways * Main bathroom * Separate toilet * Kids’ playroom Cleaning includes: * Vacuuming and mopping floors, including around skirting * Dusting and wiping furniture and surfaces * Kitchen benches, sink, splashback, cooktop and microwave * Cupboard fronts as required * Bathroom including shower, bath, vanity, mirror and floor * Toilet * General dusting, including ceiling fans and cobwebs * Light dusting and floors in the kids’ playroom Bedrooms are not required. The shower may need some extra attention during the first clean, after which we’re mainly looking for regular weekly maintenance. The first clean will be a trial for both parties, capped at 4 hours. This gives us a chance to get things up to a good standard and work out what can reasonably be completed each week. After that, we’d ideally like a 2.5–3 hour weekly clean, with the scope adjusted based on what is achievable within that time. We have hybrid flooring in the main areas, so gentle/appropriate cleaning products are required. Current police check preferred. Looking for a Regular House Cleaner 😊 We’re looking for a lovely, reliable and thorough cleaner to help us keep on top of our home every two weeks. It’s a 4-bedroom house with 2 bathrooms, 1 powder room, office, kitchen/dining, living room, theatre and laundry. The regular fortnightly clean would cover the usual things throughout the house — dusting and wiping surfaces, vacuuming, mopping, kitchen, laundry, bedrooms and living areas. Bathrooms are where we’d like to do things a little differently. Rather than just giving both bathrooms the same standard clean each fortnight, we’d like to rotate a proper deep clean between them. One fortnight, Bathroom 1 would get a deep clean closer to a vacate/exit-clean standard — shower screens, tiles, grout, mould removal, buildup/soap scum, fittings, around and behind toilets, edges, corners and all those areas that need more attention. Bathroom 2 would receive a normal maintenance clean. The following fortnight, we’d swap them around so Bathroom 2 gets the deep clean and Bathroom 1 gets the maintenance clean. The powder room would receive a normal clean each visit. We’re looking for someone to come fortnightly for around 3–4 hours maximum. It’s a 3x2 home with just two adults, no children, and we keep the house tidy and do basic surface cleaning every day, so it’s generally quite an easy house to maintain. The main things we’d like done each fortnight are: * Floors * Main bathroom * Changing the bed sheets * Kitchen and general cleaning The spare bedrooms and guest bathroom don’t need to be cleaned every time. One thing we really value is someone who takes a bit of initiative, rather than us having to prepare a list each fortnight. For example, if the regular cleaning is done, noticing something that could use some attention and doing that occasionally — a window, inside the fridge, part of the pantry, wiping down the front deck, a little bit in the garage, etc. We don’t expect everything every time, just someone who notices things and rotates those extra jobs as needed. We’d also really prefer to have the same cleaner each fortnight. We’ve had experiences with companies sending different cleaners each time, and understandably, when someone doesn’t know the house, things often get put away in different places. Having someone regular who gets to know the house and where things belong works much better for us. Our previous cleaner generally managed everything within 3 hours each fortnight. We’re happy to discuss whether a little more time is realistically needed, but we wouldn’t want to go beyond 4 hours per fortnight. Friday would be our ideal cleaning day, although we can be flexible and are happy to discuss other options. In terms of cleaning products, I’m happy for you to use your own or I can supply them. You would just need to bring your own cleaning equipment (vacuum, mop, etc.).
