Hi there, I’m looking for an experienced home theatre / AV technician to help troubleshoot and fix my sound system. I have an older Pioneer AV receiver connected to an Epson projector. The system has 6 speakers connected (surround setup). The issue is that there is no audio output, even when using HDMI and even when we tested it with a TV. We’ve tried basic troubleshooting (changing cables, power cycling, different HDMI connections), but it still doesn’t work. The receiver is also behaving strangely and may not be responding properly (possibly not turning off correctly). I’m not sure if it’s a settings issue, wiring issue, or if the receiver is faulty. I’d prefer someone to diagnose it properly and get it working again if possible, rather than replacing it immediately.
