BAGGED BRICK FINISH – SIDES AND BACK FACADE BRICKWORK. EXCLUDING FRONT AS THIS WILL BE STONE CLAD We would like the exposed brick sections of the house to have a traditional Southern Highlands / heritage-style bagged brick finish. The brick courses remain subtly visible. Mortar joints are softened but not completely hidden. The overall finish is smooth and refined, not heavily textured. Hessian bag marks and sweep marks are to be minimised. The finish should not look like full render. The finish should not have a rough, heavily bagged appearance. Requirements: Apply a light bagged brick finish to all nominated brick areas. Work the bagging coat sufficiently to achieve a soft, even texture. Brick pattern should remain visible through the finish. Avoid pronounced circular bagging marks or heavy texture. Corners and edges to be clean and straight. Finish to be suitable for painting with premium exterior masonry paint. Final appearance to resemble a refined heritage brick cottage rather than a rendered home. The target look is: Soft, elegant and slightly rustic. Similar to traditional painted bagged brick homes commonly found in the Southern Highlands. Smooth enough to appear premium when painted, while retaining some brick character. Low-sheen painted finish after completion. Please provide a sample area for approval before completing the entire facade.
