The timber has split badly at the dovetails, so I would like the damaged sections to be cleanly cut off the side panels and a brand-new front panel to be attached using internal corner blocks and screws for a strong hold. The new front panel does not need to match the existing cabinets or stain – any sturdy piece of timber, cut to the original size, would be fine.
