I have a brick archway around the fireplace - the bricks come out approx 120mm from the wall. A combustion fireplace in place. A piece of pressed metal that fits around the combustion fireplace. I’d like the brick archway removed so the pressed metal can sit on the wall and finish to job. A simple timber mantle put in place surrounding the fireplace. The photo shows the pressed metal in place but is sitting out from the wall.
