Find an experienced fireplace installation professional in Preston

Had an old gas heater removed by my plumber. Now need the inside of the fireplace b Boarded up and the paint around the endges removed. Fireplace will be decorative and not planned to be used.

I need someone to block up an unused fireplace to prevent soot from falling down and to also ensure heat is not escaping in the cold winter months. I have done a band-aid solution with some ply and some brackets (photo attached) but need something a bit more through as our baby will end up using the fireplace cavity as a reading corner - Due date: Flexible

Need a handyman for two jobs in our house. The first - we bought a fridge to fit into our built in cupboard space. Unfortunately we didn't take into account a ledge in the space which means the fridge does not fit properly. We're hoping the bottom level of the cupboard can be taken out so that the top of the fridge fits under the ledge and will fit in the space. Fridge dimensions - 179cm tall, 70cm wide, 69cm deep Space dimensions - floor to bottom panel - 12cm, floor to jutting out ledge 185cm, width 77.5cm, depth 75cm The second job is to replaster/repaint an ornamental fireplace in our spare room where I think unfortunately one of our cats has taken to sharpening their claws, causing a lot of damage. I have attached photos of the jobs.

The fireplace is smoking and it’s not a blocked flu as we have had it cleaned very recently! We want the bricks taken down and everything sealed up properly and to make sure it’s safe and no longer smoking out the lounge. Bricks are not going to be re-installed as we will put in a mantel we have at some point, but for now we need heat and to be safe!

We have a shower base that needs re-grouting (tiles are fine) due to wearing away. We also have a small Victorian hearth that needs tiles laid. Please refer photos. The hearth has the tiles to lay shown in place. Some tile cutting needed, and the surface is a little uneven.

We want to replace the old gas fireplace with new electric fireplace. Need a plumber to uninstall the current gas one.

Hello , I need an person with building experience to remove a brick fireplace . There is no chimney . Time and date is flexible

We have removed tiles and plaster from our old brick fire place and are looking for someone to fix up the grout and make it look good! We don’t intend to use as fireplace- it’s just a nice feature! If you are a handy person and can also tile the hearth that would be great too

Require a professional tiler to tile a fireplace hearth. We will have the tiles by Wednesday/Thursday. The dimensions of the hearth are to be: 1280 mm (length) x 600 mm (width). The height of the hearth is to be 45mm (30mm of tiles/sheet/whatever and 15mm packers with air gap). I will only have the tiles, rest will need to be provided by tiler.

To tile a fireplace hearth; Levelling of surface, laying cement sheeting inside fireplace on base of fireplace to cover hole. Lay cement sheeting in front of hearth and tile (tile front of hearth only; 1700 x 450 area), Install wooden border to tiled area, nail to floor. Tiles are subway style (photo attached 75 x 305mm). Tiles and cement sheeting provided.

Brick fireplace needs to be stripped of top & undercoat back to bare brick inc floor tiles and mantle I’ve had a go with some paint stripper and just turned it into a mess. Need someone with the right tools and know how
