The depth required for a zero clearance wood heater is around 600mm, so you’d need to frame and plaster a chimney breast that is 600mm deep and approx. 1200mm wide, all the way to the ceiling.With a brick facade for a TV to go on top of. Electrical fireplace needs to get fixed

I have a small fireplace on the ground floor of my two storey house. it appears to be leaking during heavy storms. I think the seal has been broken around the exhaust in the roof due to the wind.

We have a new gas fireplace ready to be installed. We have installed the flu in the existing fireplace and now just need the gas connected and the electric flu installed. It will require a gas fitter or licensed plumber. Happy to negotiate on price if it’s a long job
