The Issue: One of the small, recessed LED downlights in our optometry/consulting room has burnt out. While the room is still usable, the reduced light level affects the professional atmosphere and overall brightness of the space. The Job: The task is to replace the faulty LED downlight. The scope of work includes: 1. Safely accessing the light fitting in the ceiling (a suitable ladder will be required). 2. Diagnosing the fault (e.g., a failed LED unit or a faulty driver). 3. Supplying and installing a new, suitable replacement LED downlight and/or driver. 4. Ensuring the new light's colour temperature and brightness matches the other existing lights in the room. 5. Testing the new light to confirm it is fully operational. Please note: The successful contractor must be able to source and supply the correct replacement light as part of their service. The cost of the new light should be included in your offer. Requirements: - MUST be a fully licensed and insured NSW Electrician. - You must have your own tools, including an A-frame ladder appropriate for a standard commercial ceiling height. - Experience with commercial lighting, particularly recessed LEDs, is essential. Old wire needs to be cut and a female plug wired onto it, so the new downlights can be plugged in. The old ones are very old with a transformer and can’t be unplugged therefore needs to be cut and rewired. I had already 10 done eight months ago and it took less than one hours Work.
