My brother has been trying to get an apprenticeship in electrical, mechanical or boiler making for the last year online, but barely any replies due to his age (23) He has got one job 6 months ago with a mechanic, but the boss had a big ego and temper, several guys including my brother left. Now hes still trying but hes extremely disheartened after the bad experience Hes worked with me casually (carpentry business) but i dont have the capacity to give him full time work, nor is he passionate about my trade. None the less, he works hard and picks things up quickly. If the stars aligned he would be the ideal employee/apprentice for my business; i believe he wants to expand our families trade/skillset (i am the first qualified tradesman in my family) has got a fair power tool handling capacity now with good common sense for someone that has onky scratched the surface of my trade. Always tries to keep busy, if he completes his tasks, he asks whats next or cleans and packs up equipment we no longer need out Anyway, thanks guys. Worth a try

Hi there, We're a Brisbane-based electronic security company that services residential and small commercial clients across SEQ. We’ve recently started working with a new type of alarm system, and we’ve encountered a small challenge with the wired detectors. Specifically, there isn’t a suitable ceiling mount bracket available for these in Australia. In most cases the detector is mounted on the wall in the corner directly. However there are some instances where it needs to be ceiling mounted. We were able to source a few from the UK for a previous job, but unfortunately, they had some design flaws and aren't ideal for ongoing use. We do have one of these brackets with us and can provide it as a reference/sample. However, the base plate and fixing points will need some minor modifications. We’re currently looking for someone who can scan or accurately measure the part, make the necessary adjustments, and supply a 3D printing file that we can use for our own small-scale printing needs. We do have a basic 3D printer in-house and had a go at designing a solution ourselves from scratch, but with limited success. This is a small component, and we're hoping to develop a reliable model for repeated use in future installations. If this sounds like something you can help with, please let me know. Kind regards, Ray
