We have just moved into the property and need someone experienced with NBN FTTC and home networking to set up and optimise our internet. We already have a TP-Link router, TP-Link network switch, and multiple Ethernet/LAN wall ports throughout the house. The main goal is to get reliable internet and Wi-Fi coverage across the property, especially to the office at the back of the house. Scope: - confirm the FTTC connection is working properly; - configure the TP-Link router; - identify and test the existing LAN ports; - check/configure the TP-Link switch; - optimise Wi-Fi coverage to the rear office; - use the existing infrastructure where possible; - recommend extra access point/mesh hardware only if genuinely needed; - confirm everything is working before completion. *Must be completed tomorrow, Tuesday 22 September, preferably from 1:00 pm onward.* We can provide photos of the NBN equipment, router, switch and wall ports if needed. I need an experienced professional to install cat6 cable in our house. The nbn box was installed into our garage & I would like our router to be in the middle of the house. I have other cat cables running through the roof so the path is already visible. House is double story. Possibly some other work like remove a cctv camera. Just confirming the cable will need to connect the nbn box in our garage go up into the 2nd story roof & down a passage into the middle of the house on the ground level to connect our router.

Our modem is in the front and our main switch/ CCTV DVR are at the back storage area. Need a hand to connect the switch to the modem and connect the CCTV DVR machine to the internet.

My computer over heats. When that happens the temp is 69°. It over heats after being left on all night and then booting up Fortnite. Prefer if can fix it at my home. Computer is 5 years old. I’ve recently upgraded my NBN connection to FTTP and need help diagnosing what appears to be a faulty Cat6 cable. Background: * The NBN box is located in my garage, single storey home. * My router is normally located in the living room. * There is an existing Cat6 cable run from the NBN box in the garage, through the adjacent wall, to the living room. * Before the FTTP upgrade, my internet worked perfectly using the previous NBN setup. * The NBN technician advised that the existing Cat6 cable is the likely cause of the issue. What I’ve already tested: * I connected my router directly to the NBN box in the garage using an Ethernet cable, and the internet works without any issues. * I’ve been using the internet this way temporarily by keeping the router in the garage, but the Wi-Fi coverage and internet speeds throughout the house drop significantly. * This indicates the router and FTTP connection are working correctly. The problem appears to be with the existing Cat6 cable run (or one of its terminations). What I need: * Diagnose the existing Cat6 cable using a cable tester. * Re-terminate the cable if the issue is with the connectors. * If the cable itself is faulty, replace it using the existing cable route (no new cable route required). Please bring the appropriate testing equipment and tools. Experience with home networking and Ethernet cabling is preferred. Service to include replacement Cat6 cable
