Dual monitors connected to dock/laptop not working with ‘no signal’. Have reviewed all laptop monitor settings, unplugged and shutdown everything. Help.

After an NBN outage, my two TP-Link adapters stopped being paired. One adapter is at the powerpoint near the modem in the lounge, the other is in my external office pod. That one, when it's paired, means I can use it for ethernet internet. I have tried to pair them again a couple of times, following instructions from TP-Link, but it hasn't worked.
