Hi, I'm looking for a registered data cabler (ideally also a licensed electrician) to get a working Ethernet point into my second bedroom. The property is a 2 BR apartment built in 2021. Current setup: - NBN box and router are in a cabinet in the living room, with a 4-port data wall plate next to it - Three ports are labelled (living room, master bedroom, study). The fourth is labelled "LL" and I can't find where it ends up - There are no data points in the second bedroom What I need: 1. Trace the "LL" cable (tone tracer or similar) to find where it ends. If it ends in or near the second bedroom, fit an RJ45 wall socket and test the connection back to the cabinet. 2. If it doesn't, quote to run a new Cat6 cable from the cabinet to the second bedroom and install a wall socket there. 3. (Optional) Inside the wardrobe in that bedroom, there's a blank cover plate with a loop of power cable behind it (it's marked "450/750V"). If it's quick, could you have a look while you're there? No need if it adds much cost. Photos of the cabinet and the wardrobe plate are attached. Please include your ACMA cabling registration (and electrical license number if you're doing item 3) and a rough price for each scenario. Flexible on timing.

My computer over heats. When that happens the temp is 69°. It over heats after being left on all night and then booting up Fortnite. Prefer if can fix it at my home. Computer is 5 years old. We have NBN network, with a google nest mesh system. We have issues getting the printer connected, and want to be able to print, scan, etc from desktop computers to desktop computers. Brother MFC unit.

I’ve recently upgraded my NBN connection to FTTP and need help diagnosing what appears to be a faulty Cat6 cable. Background: * The NBN box is located in my garage, single storey home. * My router is normally located in the living room. * There is an existing Cat6 cable run from the NBN box in the garage, through the adjacent wall, to the living room. * Before the FTTP upgrade, my internet worked perfectly using the previous NBN setup. * The NBN technician advised that the existing Cat6 cable is the likely cause of the issue. What I’ve already tested: * I connected my router directly to the NBN box in the garage using an Ethernet cable, and the internet works without any issues. * I’ve been using the internet this way temporarily by keeping the router in the garage, but the Wi-Fi coverage and internet speeds throughout the house drop significantly. * This indicates the router and FTTP connection are working correctly. The problem appears to be with the existing Cat6 cable run (or one of its terminations). What I need: * Diagnose the existing Cat6 cable using a cable tester. * Re-terminate the cable if the issue is with the connectors. * If the cable itself is faulty, replace it using the existing cable route (no new cable route required). Please bring the appropriate testing equipment and tools. Experience with home networking and Ethernet cabling is preferred. Service to include replacement Cat6 cable
