I am looking for someone to help my mum Briony with tech. She is a quadriplegic living at home in Dulwich. Before she became a quadriplegic four years ago she was not very tech savvy at all - she didn't even have an email address! Since then she has managed to transition onto an iPhone which she loves but she really only uses it for speakerphone calls. I have also given her an iPad but she doesn't know how to use it yet. I live in Melbourne so I can't help her in person. I am looking for someone who is patient and understands older people and technology - particularly iOS and it's accessibility options to help her get the most out of her tech. You also need to be able to work with someone who has a physical disability and have the capacity to work a bit with hardware - I.e. mounting an iPad on a wheelchair, checking a router, etc. In the future I think she would benefit greatly from home automation but at this stage it would be great to start by seeing what she wants to do and help with the basics like updating her OS, getting her using email properly, voice recognition, setting up a diary if she wants it. If it goes well, I imagine you would spend an hour or so a week with her on an ongoing basis for teaching and setting things up. We can afford around $50 per hour. - Due date: Flexible
