Deck Sanding & Repainting – Preferably This Weekend Looking for someone experienced to sand back and repaint my existing Merbau pool decking, preferably this weekend. The deck is currently painted white, which I find a little too bright and stark. I’m wanting to achieve a softer, more natural-looking finish, ideally a light weathered driftwood or warm greige tone paint (which I’ll purchase) The deck will need to be properly prepared, including sanding back the existing paint where required, before repainting. I’m looking for someone experienced with timber decking.

Looking for someone experienced to clean, prepare and stain our raised timber deck and fence posts around the deck (see pics). The deck is approximately 3 m × 4 m (around 12 m²), plus the timber posts. The timber is weathered, so please assess the preparation needed and include it in your offer. I will supply the stain; please bring your own tools and let me know if you recommend a particular product or number of coats. The deck sits above a shed and is accessed by ladder. Please make sure you can work safely at this height and bring any equipment needed. There is a children’s cubby and a slide nearby, so care will be needed to protect them and the surrounding area. Included: timber deck boards and posts. Excluded: shed cladding and metal balustrade. Please specify what preparation is included, whether sanding is needed, and how many coats you propose. No repairs or board replacement are included unless agreed separately.
