I’m looking for an experienced joiner or cabinetmaker to assess and modify my existing overhead kitchen cupboards so I can install a new copper rangehood. My current setup is: * Current rangehood: 600 mm wide * Gas cooktop: 600 mm wide * Oven: 600 mm wide * New copper rangehood: 900 mm wide Because the new rangehood is 300 mm wider, it will extend approximately 150 mm past the cooktop on each side. The centre cupboard above the stove will need to be removed, and the cupboards beside it may need to be cut down, rebuilt or replaced with narrower cupboards. I would like someone to: 1. Inspect and measure the existing cupboards and new rangehood. 2. Advise on the neatest way to prepare the cabinetry before installation. 3. Provide a quote to remove/modify the cupboards before the rangehood is fitted. 4. Provide a quote to finish or rebuild the cupboards after installation. 5. Ideally create two slim matching cupboards or neat filler panels beside the new hood, so there are no awkward gaps and I retain as much storage as possible. The copper hood may require a separate rangehood insert and secure wall mounting. The electrical and ducting work will be completed by the appropriate trades—I mainly need help with the cabinetry/joinery before and after installation. Please bring experience with kitchen cabinetry and rangehood modifications. Photos of similar work would be appreciated.

I have an internal stained glass window in my living room that looks into an adjacent bedroom. The bedroom side was previously sheeted over with plasterboard (Gyprock). I need someone to carefully cut away the plasterboard from the bedroom side to reveal the window, and then supply and install a simple timber frame to finish it off. Window Size: • Dimensions: 24 cm wide by 72 cm tall Key Tasks: • Locate and carefully cut away the Gyprock on the bedroom side without hitting or damaging the stained glass panel. • Clear out cavity dust and debris between the plaster and the glass. • Supply and install timber framing/architraves around the newly exposed window on the bedroom side. • Note: no painting required • Note: The framing does NOT need to be an exact match to the living room side—just similar in style and size (see photos). Materials Required (To be supplied by you): • Approx. 2.5 linear meters of timber architrave/trim (simple profile similar to the photos). • Fixing nails/screws and gap filler/no-more-gaps. What I’m Looking For: • Detailed handyman or carpentry experience. • Please bring your own tools (drywall saw, drop saw, dust sheets, vacuum for cleanup). I have some shelves that are falling apart under my stairs. I’d like new ones installed that are also deeper. They just need to be functional. There’s a small hot water service they will be built above and also need to keep room for the electricity fuse box.

There are no studs in place where we need the cabinet to be attached. We need to add more timber in the wall and make it safe.

Cut open existing plasterboard wall and install some plywood or timber bracing to take the weight of the tv. Reinstate Gyprock and install tv bracket above fireplace

Two of my windows have some signs of wood rot as visible in the photos, which I’m looking to get repaired before painting (just looking for a quote for the repair). I’m looking for a carpenter / woodworker to fabricate a customer timber disc for use in product load testing. This is a simple but specific shape (not a bowl). It needs to be a flat disc with a very shallow curved underside. Material: hardwood Diameter: 250mm Thickness: 25-30 (before shaping) Curve 5-10mm depth across diameter Bottom surface will be flat and smooth, top surface to have a continuous curve. Photos provided are examples of the shape and curve we are looking for (but are the size of a button so not appropriate)
