Got an update on my BMW X3 G01 2019 with iDrive 7. it seems like the car has no stored CAS, the battery had ran flat and i did replace it, but I didn't get the coding done, the car still works, but the issue persists with no iDrive (connecteddrive), and no maps, the iDrive works with wireless android auto and carplay, just not the connection to BMW and no map data (shows me at the production plant in Germany for the vehicle).

I have a BMW E28 528I 1985, I have replaced the front wheel bearing hubs but I need a mechanic to properly check and torque them as my tool wont do the trick. Ideally someone who works on older cars but it not a specialist job. Needs to be done at my place due to the hubs not being torqued down correctly.

I have a 2009 BMW 120d E87 that has been off the road and unregistered for almost a year. Around September last year, the dashboard suddenly went completely dead, although the rest of the car was still functioning. A mobile mechanic inspected it but couldn't resolve the issue and suspected an electrical/wiring issue. There is also water getting into the car around the footwell, possibly related to the sunroof/drains. The car now has some mould inside, and after sitting for almost a year the battery is likely dead. I was previously told it could potentially be related to the BMW footwell/FRM module or wiring. I'm looking for someone experienced with BMW electrical faults, preferably E87/FRM issues, who can assess the symptoms and give me a realistic rough price range for the repair. Please let me know your experience with this type of BMW issue and your estimated repair range before accepting the job. I'm not looking to pay someone to simply inspect it and tell me they don't know how to fix it. The car is currently unregistered and cannot be driven, so ideally someone who can come to the car.

Task Description: Looking for a qualified mechanic (preferably with BMW/Euro experience) to replace a deteriorated vacuum hose located under the intake manifold on a 2014 BMW X5 30d (N57 diesel engine). The Situation: BMW diagnosed the car and confirmed the main vacuum pump and EGR control valve work perfectly (passed smoke test, no external leaks). However, the vacuum hose leading to the EGR bypass flap under the manifold is restricted/collapsed internally, causing a Check Engine Light.

Am wanting to know if there is anyone who can quote me for this project I need doing. Here are the details, essentially, I have a rolling e36 shell (no engine/gearbox), which has had the following works done: Custom LS1 engine mounts - Custom gearbox mount - Custom headers - Custom steering arm (clearanced to suit headers) - Custom sump for the LS1 - Oil filter relocation setup - Braided lines and fittings - Rear strut tower brace bar - New sunroof rubber seal - New Roof lining included - Various ancillary parts to complete the swap It would also come with some other miscellaneous parts necessary for the conversion, essentially the guy showed me an invoice for an e36 LS conversion kit he bought (which was roughly 10 grand I believe), which included all the necessary parts for the swap excluding an engine and gearbox, so as far as I'm aware everything needed has either been done as aforementioned or I would be able to provide. I'm not sure what else is needed for the conversion that hasn't already been done, so otherwise I would just need to source an LS1 and a T56 or T6060 gearbox to be fitted to the car. I just need to get it to a state where it can run and drive, and am capable of doing some miscellaneous things myself. What would be the cost of labour for fitting the engine/gearbox, and what's the process of legalising the car i.e. in regards to "engineering" it? As in I'm not fully aware of the processes that need to be undergone to make modded cars legal to drive in this country. Am happy for this to be completed anywhere in and around sydney or canberra. Would love to chat to anyone who can help me with this.
