Change Volkswagen golf starter

$350

Bondi Beach NSW 2026, Australia

4th Aug 2026

Hi, I’m looking for a mobile mechanic who can come to Bondi Beach to work on my 2004 Volkswagen Golf MK5 TDI, 1.9L 4-cylinder FWD diesel. My car stopped starting today. At first, I thought it was just the battery, but after checking it over, it now seems more likely that the starter motor is the issue. I’m looking for someone who can: * source the correct starter motor for my car; and * come to my place in Bondi Beach to replace it. If this is something you can help with, please send me your quote by private message or in the comments, along with your phone number so I can contact you directly. Thanks in advance for your help, and feel free to share this post if you know someone who might be able to help! 🙏

Get a new Apple CarPlay head deck installed on Volkswagen Jetta 2017

$250

Rouse Hill NSW 2155, Australia

2nd May 2026

Our Volkswagen Jetta needs a new stereo head deck installed. The current one is the originally installed one and it’s faulty. Head deck must be Apple CarPlay and Android auto compatible. I’ve looked up online there are several models that install straight in. You need to: - bring a new head deck with you - remove old head deck - install new head deck Price should include you purchasing the new head deck or you send me the model and I order it.

Did an excellent job on installing my car stereo, honestly couldn’t be happier. Made the whole process super easy and helped me navigate getting the right components.

A coolant flush on a Volkswagen 118 TSI 2012

$150

Lidcombe NSW, Australia

22nd Jan 2026

We have underground parking and we have visitor parking Labour A coolant flush on a Volkswagen 118 TSI (typically the 1.4L Twincharger engine, code CAVD/CTHD found in Golf/Jetta/Tiguan) is critical maintenance, as these engines are prone to cooling system issues. The process involves draining the old G12/G13/G12evo coolant, flushing with water/cleaner, and refilling with the correct VW-approved antifreeze to prevent overheating and corrosion. Important Specifications & Components Engine Type: 1.4L TSI Twincharger (Turbo & Supercharged). Coolant Type: We will buy >>> Remove the lower engine shield (3x T-25 Torx screws). Drain System: Locate the lower radiator hose or drain plug (usually on the passenger side or bottom of the radiator). Place a drain pan underneath. Remove Reservoir Cap: Remove the coolant expansion tank cap to allow faster draining. Flush (Optional but Recommended): To remove old buildup, you can use a radiator flush additive, ( we will buy ) to flush water through the system until it runs clear. Reconnect & Refill: Reconnect the lower hose/plug. Mix VW-approved G13 or G12evo coolant with demineralized water (usually 50/50) and refill the expansion tank. Bleed the System: This is critical for the 1.4 TSI. Start the engine, turn the heater to max heat, and allow it to reach operating temperature to open the thermostat, allowing air to escape. Finalize: Top up the coolant level to the "Max" line (do not overfill). Important Tips for 118 TSI Water Pump Check: The 118TSI is known for water pump issues. A flush is a good time to check for leaks. Alternative Method: Some technicians remove the secondary water pump hose to drain more fluid effectively.
